How is the knee brace sized?

This is a universally sized brace and can comfortably fit a knee up to 21” in circumference (measure around knee). Our brace may be able to stretch to fit larger knees but please note we cannot guarantee comfort past 21”.

How do I measure the circumference of my knee?

Wrap a tape measure around your kneecap to measure.

Can I run and exercise with the knee brace on?

Yes, the knee brace offers a full range of motion so that you can enjoy all of your favorite activities without slipping, folding or bunching. It’s best to not insert the gel packs while exercising.

Will the brace slip or roll down my leg when I am active?

No, the strong fastening straps will keep the brace in place even when you are active.

How to do I heat the gel packs?

You may heat the gel packs in either the microwave or on the stove top. In the microwave, place the gel pack on a paper towel and heat at full power for 45-60 seconds. Reheat at 10-second intervals until desired temperature is reached. On the stove top, bring 3 quarts (3.5 liters) of water to a boil. Remove the water from heat source. Never immerse the gel pack while water is being heated. Immerse the gel pack in hot water for 2.5 - 3 minutes.

How do I cool the gel packs?

Place the gel pack flat in freezer for at least 2 hours. Remove the gel pack from freezer and place it in knee brace before applying.

How long will a gel pack stay cold or hot?

The gel packs will provide about 15-20 minutes of temperature therapy before needing to be reheated or frozen.

Can I place the gel packs directly on my knee without the brace?

No, it is not recommended that you place heated or frozen gel packs directly on your skin.

How do I put on the knee brace?

Place heated or cold gel packs in the pockets of the brace. There are two front pockets and one rear pocket. Completely straighten your leg. Slide the brace over your knee. Secure the straps in place, starting with the middle strap and then securing the upper and lower straps.

Can I wash the knee brace?

Yes, the brace can be machine washed and air dried.

Will the brace support my knee after an injury?

Yes, the brace will help in the healing of sprains, tendonitis, hyperextension and other knee injuries as well as chronic sprain.
